Directions
The Elgin & Winter Garden Theatres are located at 189 Yonge Street in Toronto — north of Queen Street, across from the Eaton Centre.
Note: Queen Street is closed to vehicles between Bay and Victoria streets due to the ongoing Metrolinx Ontario Line construction. Pedestrian access is being maintained, and the theatres are accessible by transit.
Parking
There are several public parking lots close by, including:
- municipal parking lot on the south side of Queen Street, just east of Victoria Street (opposite St. Michael's Hospital), entrance on Queen Street
- Eaton Centre parking lot, accessible from Shuter Street
Ninety-minute guided tours of the Elgin & Winter Garden Theatres — the last operating stacked theatres in the world — recount the history and restoration of this National Historic Site. Visit the original and new lobbies, the elegant Elgin Theatre and the whimsical Winter Garden Theatre, and view samples from the world’s largest collection of vaudeville scenery. All tours are in English only.

Latecomers:
Latecomers may not be admitted until a suitable break in the performance and only at the discretion of management.
Accessibility:
The Elgin & Winter Garden Theatres are committed to providing an accessible environment for all patrons and visitors. Patrons can call the Front of House department at 416-314-2872 to discuss accessibility requirements and to make special arrangements.
Both theatre auditoriums have designated seat locations for patrons using a wheelchair or mobility device. To book accessible seating, please contact the TO Live Box Office team at 416-366-7723 or email boxoffice@tolive.com.
Beverage and concession services:
Refreshment and bar service is available at the various bars located in each theatre’s lobby. Products available for purchase include alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, bottled water, coffee, tea, cookies and other snacks.
Hearing enhancement system:
The Elgin & Winter Garden Theatres are equipped with an infrared hearing enhancement system. Please notify an usher on arrival if you require the assistance of a hearing device. You can also contact the Front of House department at 416-314-2872 to reserve a hearing device before attending a performance.
First aid:
The Elgin & Winter Garden Theatres are equipped with first aid kits, an automated external defibrillator (AED) and oxygen tanks. Front of House staff are trained in first aid.
Policy on scented products:
Please refrain from wearing cologne, perfume or other scented products in consideration of those with allergies and chemical sensitivities.
